Creating lasting local benefits
Pentland wants the development of floating offshore wind to create benefits that extend beyond the generation of renewable energy.
We are committed to engaging with communities around the project and identifying opportunities to support local people, education and skills as Pentland progresses towards delivery.
A project built through dialogue
Engagement with local communities and stakeholders will continue as Pentland progresses. We want people to be able to understand the project, ask questions and stay informed about its development.
Supporting education
Pentland is already supporting education and skills development in the region.
The project provides a bursary scheme for local school pupils progressing to university to study STEM subjects and has also sponsored a local PhD student at the University of the Highlands and Islands.
